Connect to #mixednuts using your desired nick name
wait 2 minutes before proceeding.

To register :
/msg nickserv register password email address
password = one of your choosing
email address = must be a real email address where you can receive an email from the network
It will look something like : /msg nickserv register mypass me@myemail.com

You will receive an email from NewNet with a command containing a code necessary to complete your name registration.
Simply copy and paste or type in the command they send you in the same box where you type to chat and Enter it.
It will begin /msg nickserv confirm and contain a code needed to finish registering.
(Check your junkmail folder in case the email goes there.)

Important
After you have completed the registration process and received the message that your name is registered, please type:
/msg nickserv set kill on
This will protect your name from being used by anyone else.

From now on, use your password when signing in.
Web page users, just put it in the password blank before you sign on.
IRC client users can configure your client to identify automatically
or
type /msg nickserv identify password after you connect to a server.

*Note* If you have more than one registered nick name :
Register your main one then :
1. sign on with your other nick name(s)
2. type /msg nickserv group original nickname original password
original nick name = your main nick name you've already registered
original password = the password for your main nick name
It will look something like : /msg nickserv group mynick mypass
This will automatically register your alternate nick name(s) and associate them with your main one.
